The Purpose
The City of Columbus Department of Development is conducting a market study on retail and small commercial business opportunities in neighborhoods along and near Livingston Avenue.
This process will help identify potential business and service options and future economic investments based on community input and market trend information.
The Focus
The boundaries of the market study are I-70 to the north, I-70 to the east, Frebis Avenue to the south, and S. 18th St to the west. This area covers a few Columbus neighborhoods.

Community Meeting #1 | Presentation

A community meeting was held on Monday, April 28th, at Parsons Branch Library. During the meeting, participants reviewed current market study findings and shared and discussed insights from the community. This meeting helped identify key opportunities for recommendations on future economic development strategies in the Livingston Avenue area, which will be presented at the Community Meeting 2.

A community meeting took place on Thursday, July 10th, at the Driving Park Branch Library. During this meeting, participants reviewed and discussed retail market strategy recommendations based on findings from a market study and insights from the community. This gathering helped to refine the final recommendations for a report prepared for the City of Columbus in summer 2025.
